Grades 9-12 (middle schoolers with instructor permission)

Location: The Attic Learning Community, Woodinville

You lie awake at night pondering whether Griselda should find Horatio (who she thought was dead) or if that would interfere with Flossie’s plan for world domination. You wonder if it is possible to pull the pin out of a hand grenade with your teeth while running from a mob of crazed insurance agents. We understand: you’re a novelist.
Bring your idea or work-in-progress. Bestselling author Katherine Grace Bond is your guide. We’ll work at plot, character, setting and scene-writing. We’ll discover what novel-reading has to do with novel-writing. Sessions will include in-class writing, discussion, and peer critique, with the goal of creating a complete novel by year’s end.
